  Job Summary:

 

 

Produces Solidworks models and drawings, OMS's, test procedures, and other production d ocumentation. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May conduct feasibility studies, characterization tests on new and modified designs. May direct support personnel in preparation of detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication and/or manufacturing.

  The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 years related experience
  • Proficient in CAD; SolidWorks preferred
  The successful candidate may also have a combination of the following:
 
  • Solid knowledge of statics, dynamics, vibrations, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, dimensioning and tolerancing of mechanical parts.
  • Well versed in sheet metal design practices
  • Strong understanding of machine and mechanism design
  • Experience working in a Lean environment
  • Experience working with Demand Flow Technology

  Job Summary:

 

 

Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, or specialized test equipment. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus. Conducts detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work. Gives data driven feedback to engineering staff. Creates and reviews assembly procedures and operational method sheets (OMS); creates bills of material (BOM); and generates engineering change orders (ECO).

  The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • 2 years equivalent technician experience
  • AA degree or an additional 2 years of equivalent technician experience
  • Design/electrical technician experience in a production environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of bills of materials, lean manufacturing processes and assembly procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • PCAD experience a plus
  • Strong electrical / technical skills
  • Good inter-discipline knowledge; understands mechanical, electrical and software interactions.
  • Proactive approach to troubleshooting and developing resolutions

This position designs and implements customer driven design requests.  Coordinates and performs customer attended buyoffs of custom equipment.  Develops and recommends corrective actions.  Implements new features on existing platforms.  Coordinates integration of total system.  Designs quality improvements to existing products.  Provides product and manufacturing support.

  The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2 years of mechanical design experience preferred; recent graduates may also be considered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well developed mechanical engineering skills, including knowledge of statics, dynamics, vibrations, fluid dynamics, dimensioning of mechanical parts.
  • Familiarity with standard mechanical manufacturing processes.
